Carnegie Clan

Deriving their name from the Gaelic ‘cathair an eige’ – ‘fort at the gap’, the origin of the Carnegie family is unknown.

The current clan seat for the Carnegie clan is at Elsick House in Kincardineshire. The clan chief is David Carnegie, 4th Duke of Fife.
