Collins Clan

While traditionally associated with Ireland, the Collins family are also closely associated with the Scottish district of Angus and the city of Aberdeen.

Despite being an Irish name, however, the Collins name is possibly derived from the Scottish Gaelic name MacCuilinn – itself derived from the Gaelic cuileann, meaning “holly”.
