MacLeod of Lewis Clan

Meaning ‘son of Leod’, the MacLeods of Lewis are descended form Leod, a 13th century man believed to have been the son of Olaf the Black, King of Man.

The clan are traditionally associated with the Outer Hebrides and their historic clan seat at Stornoway Castle on the Isle of Lewis.

The current clan chief is Torquil Donald MacLeod of the Lewes.
