MacQueen Clan

Sometimes given as MacSween, meaning “son of Sween”, the MacQueen clan are believed to have been descended from the High Kings of Ireland.

The clan eventually settled around Findhorn in Moray and would become a member of the Chattan Confederation – a confederation of clans in northern Scotland.

The clan is armigerous – this means it currently has no clan chief.
