MacRae Clan

Derived from the Gaelic name MacRaith, meaning “son of grace”, the MacRae clan are associated with the Scottish Highlands.

The clan are particularly associated with the districts of Wester Ross and Sutherland at the far north of the country and can claim the picturesque Eilean Donan castle as their historic clan seat.

Today, the clan is armigerous – this means that they currently have no clan chief.
