Riddell Clan

Coming from Norman origin, the first recorded mention of the Riddell clan in Scottish history was in 1116 when Gervase Ridale was witness to a charter of David I of Scotland.

The family would eventually settle at in the Scottish Lowlands and would become associated with Glengarnock Castle in Ayrshire which they possibly built.
