Wedderburn
Originally hailing from Berwickshire in southern Scotland, the Wedderburn clan first appeared in Scottish history in 1296 on the ragman roll - a document in which the Scottish nobility and gentry subscribed allegiance to King Edward I of England as his army advanced north into the country in order to keep their lands.
The clan would go on to settle in Angus (then known as Forfarshire) and the chief family would make their seat at Blackness House.
The current clan chief is Henry David Scrymgeour-Wedderburn.
Septs of the Scottish Wedderburn clan are Wedderburn and Wederburn
